Ferrand Double Cask Reserve
Ferrand Double Cask Reserve
Ferrand Double Cask Reserve is a brandy produced by the Maison Ferrand distillery in the Cognac region of France. It is made from a blend of grapes grown in the region and aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years. The Maison Ferrand distillery is known for its commitment to traditional production methods and use of high-quality ingredients, which are reflected in the smooth, complex flavor of the Ferrand Double Cask Reserve. This brandy is aged in two types of oak barrels – new oak barrels, which give it a woody, spicy flavor, and used oak barrels, which give it a more mellow, rounded flavor. The result is a brandy with a rich, complex taste, with notes of oak, vanilla, and dried fruit. It is often enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a base for cocktails, and is considered to be a fine example of the craftsmanship and artistry that goes into producing Cognac.
