First fill American bourbon barrels and first fill Spanish sherry casks were used for the maturation process. A whiskey that is naturally rich, satisfying, and matured for 21 years, adding new levels of complexity and taste.
Tasting Notes
Nose
It takes time to open up; it's really restricted and restrained.
A tightly linked malt with a lot of underlying spice.
Palate
You immediately become aware of the complexity you're dealing with as mint and menthol arise out of nowhere along with a strong, rich spiciness: cinnamon and clove, apple, mango, biscuit, oats, and white pepper, all of which are well defined and distinct.
Finish
Spices and fruit all linger for a very long time.
