Fortaleza Anejo is matured in used American Whiskey barrels for 18 months.
The longer maturing period in these barrels results in tones that are richer, deeper, and warmer than those in our reposado. Cooked agave, sweet butter, butterscotch, caramel, vanilla, citrus, dried fruit, tropical fruit, cinnamon, white pepper, cloves, nuts, and dry earth are typical flavors and fragrances of our anejo.
